You don’t have to delve deeply to catch glimpses of the themes that have returned in life. Sometimes, it’s easier to see repetitive incidents or situations as they have come about in another’s life. It is important to look at your own. Much like Carl Jung has stated, “what you resist persists”. Life’s highs, lows and middles are to natural ebb and flow as ocean waves are to the shore. Although there are some constants in life, changes and shifts are inevitable. If you’ve found yourself re-visiting moods, behaviors or situations of which you’d rather not; it may be time to reflect. In reflection we honor time for ourselves, time to discover clarity, purpose and direction. My goal as a counselor is to help people create dynamic and efficient paths for change and problem resolution.
